Throughout my life, I have seen many changes. I saw the cell phone go from a massive heavy brick to thin and foldable. I watch the computer go from massive desktops to portable touchscreens. The reason these things are possible is that people thought outside of the “impossible box.” Leaders must be able to identify specific leadership styles and apply them as needed. Depending on the situation, I could choose either the Hersey-Blanchard Situational Leadership Model or the Vroom-Yetton Normative Decision Model. My model usage would be based on the situation. These are both situational leadership styles and should be used when needed.
